These photographs show the London ‘Slutwalk’ in 2011, when thousands of people took to the streets of London to rally against the culture of for blaming women their sexual assault.

The Slutwalk was started following remarks from Canadian police officer Constable Michael Sanguinetti who told a group of students: “You know, I think we’re beating around the bush here. I’ve been told I’m not supposed to say this – however, women should avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimised.”

During the rally I followed the very front of the protest march and wanted to document the beautiful variety of faces, young and old and their candid messages or stories.
